WL Preseason Power Rankings

1. Maple Wood Mashers 🍁
The Maple wood Mashers are legit contenders for the 2025 Auburn Wiffleball League’s Winter World Series. They are tied for the lowest odds to have the best record. With the free agent signings of Garner Collum and power bat Levi Saville this team is scary. Levi Saville has a line drive power hitting bat but big whiffs that could hurt. As long as slugger and travel ball player Garner Collum can produce in their opportunities, there will be no doubt this team can hit. The worries are on the mound. Levi Saville doesn’t have much experience and Garner Collum hasn’t thrown a wiffleball in a while. If Collum’s stuff comes back to him, this will be the scariest team to face.
2. Red Clay Raiders 🧱
Can this team produce in important situations? That is the question this team is asking themselves. This team has no doubt there pitching can be effective with precision starting pitch Baxter Higgins and flame throwing Noah Saville for the back end. The lineup has some weaknesses with Noah and Baxter’s high strikeout rates but with Noah’s poke skills and Baxter’s power, I think they will manage to produce.
3. Hillside Hornets 🐝
Cy Young? Not trying to glaze but I think the Cy Young award has already won just off of first sites. Hudson Saville has been devoted to wiffleball pitching for years and it has paid off. The splitter, drop, slide drop, slider, knuckleball, 2 seam, rising screwball, riser, and anything else he decides to pull through his sleeve is all elite. The question is hitting. Windsor has some pop and is skilled with contact for the most part but the swing decisions were not wise in spring training. Hudson Saville’s weren’t bad in spring training but there a history. Saville can pop one outta there in no time and get timely hits and that was shown in spring training with his Grand Ham and three run bomb. I have no doubt that this team can win, decisions is what’ll hold em’ back.
4. Coastal Cavaliers 🗡️
As they say last but not least. This team is certainly not bad. Thomas Franklin has already gotten a lot better on the mound and Alistair is a strike thrower always there as well. The lineup is probably the best you could ask for with power hitting Thomas Franklin who can hammer the ball and contact hitter Alistair Higgins that hits everything. I have no doubt this team can win, but they need the determination
