AWL Week 4 Power Rankings
⁃ Brendon Discher
1. Lakeview Lightning⚡️ ^ Trending Upward 5-3
The Lakeview Lightning are legit contenders for the 2025 Auburn Wiffleball League’s Winter World Series. Garner Collum has been phenomenal on the mound and the addition of Noah Saville boosted the hitting and pitching depth. Noah hit a grand slam, and surprised many at the plate after last weeks performence. The Lightning got a steal of a deal, and you can't deny it.
2. Hillside Hornets 🐝 ^ Trending Upward 4-4
Hudson Saville was dominant, returning to former glory with only giving up 3 runs across 6 innings. Windsor recorded the first 2 outs out of relief in the 2nd game, but attempted to lose it as he gave up 5. The Hornets started off 0-3. Since then they have gone 3-0 showing much better pitching strength. The Hornets might just be a world series contender after all.
3. Coastal Cavaliers 🗡️ v Trending Downward 5-3
Well on paper the Cavaliers still look good, but we all thought Alistair's pitching was so good after week 2. The Hornets hit him with ease, and scores 10 runs off of him in 7 innings. Hudson Saville was dealing and the Cavaliers couldn't find contact until Windsor entered the game. They are still good, but some work on the pitching needs to be done before they face the Raiders next week.
4. Red Clay Raiders 🧱 v Trending Downward 2-6
The Red Clay Raiders were widely considered the best team in the league after week 1. Now they are on a 4 game losing streak and made a mistake trade. On December 6th, Levi Saville was traded to the Raiders and at first it was thought to be a pretty even trade. It wasn't. Instant regret. Levi Saville was elite in the field with great plays, and his hitting was good, but I think Levi was an over all downgrade.
