AWL Preseason Power Rankings

1. Coastal Cavaliers 🗡️ Last Season = 10-3
The Coastal Cavaliers are coming off of their World Series win in the first AWL season and are hungry for more. They drafted back Silver Slugger and World Series MVP Alistair Higgins and traded for Gold Glove and Most Improved finalist Windsor Higgins. They originally drafted Noah Saville to boost their pitching, but Windsor expressed wishes of being on the Cavs, and so it happened. Though still not much pitching, it seems to not matter after sweeping the Lightning to cap off the year with a 10-3 record. Let's see what season's Windsor, Thomas, and Alistair can produce this year, and if they can go back to back.
2. Hillside Hornets 🐝 Last Season = 5-6
The Hillside Hornets were disapointing in the playoffs after their mid season turnaround, but that certainly shouldn't weigh them down. Hudson Saville got a great player in the draft, getting old Raider's captain, Gold Glove winner, and Silver Slugger finalist, Baxter Higgins. They also got another good bat, Levi Saville. You might not think much of the Hornets due to the fact that they basically added the Raider's roster. But when you think about it on the defensive side, you have the Cy Young winner on the mound, and the Gold Glove winner and the runner up in the field. It's gonna be hard to generate offense this season when playing the Hornets.
3. Lakeview Lightning⚡️ Last Season = 7-7
The Lakeview Lightning are coming off of a disappointing series loss in the World Series, getting swept by the Cavaliers. The hitting only knocked in 1 combined run through those 3 games. They traded to get Most Improved winner, Noah Saville, and they drafted Hayes Sutton. Hayes doesn't help out a whole lot on the pitching side, but he will on the hitting side. I don't think the Lightning will be bad, but I think they will start off strong, and then fall after costly losses. We will find out how much Hayes helps out, and if the Lightning will improve or fall off from last season.
